Guest Report post Posted March 8, 2004 also keep in mind, during the softshell (molting) time of the year, different species and different streams result in different color softshells. In many streams in michigan it is a rusty brown to green... but in the cumberland region, many of them look like this: would be worth it to check for some softshells during the time you're fishing and match accordingly. steve Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
