Bullet Head Tool on Madam X

Recommended Posts

In case anyone is interested, a friend and I did up a short video tutorial on a bullet head tool for tying up a Madam X. Anyway, if you like bullet head patterns, this might be of use:

(FWIW, we're working on some video stuff for Griffin so that's why it has the logo up front -- this is not an advertisement.)

Never heard of the tool before, thought it was more of a stensil for cutting perfect muddler heads. Although it isn't what I expected, I thought it was a cool video anyways and learned a couple new tecniques, which is always cool B) .

Glad you guys liked the video. I agree Pickin, Now it's Curtis' turn to show us that hopper. That tool is great to use for all kinds of heads. I know a lot of saltwater guys use it for different applications.

the bullett tool is made out of plastic, with a rubber insert. Then as the video showed, it has a small, medium, or large hole in the middle of the rubber so you can slide it over the hair to make the bullethead. These are great flies to use. I like to tie em in wild colors, and occasionally tie em with foam so they float great. I'll try settin up the camera later and take some pics.

In case anyone is interested, I finished up the tutorial for the Logan's Foam Hopper. I had to break it into two parts because of the 10 minute YouTube limitation.

Anyway, here are the links for anyone interested:
