VERN-O 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 I'm hoping to get out this weekend for some fishing....and wanted to tie some new soft hackles (since I'm still learning to tie them).....the 1st one came out bad (but fishable), the second on was hackled too big, and third time.....I was happy......unfortunately it didn't look as good in this pic..... Soft-hackle 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Vern-o The softies you tied are not all that bad. You'll catch fish with them, I'm sure. Keep practicing. Hans, great looking fly! Very flymph-like with the dubbed body and turned up eye-like Hidy's. Mark
VERN-O 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 Mark, you were right I tried out the softies I posted on a Spring Creek and they put a couple of fish in the bank for me.....once they are wet they look like large midges that have drowned. I really am starting to like this wet fly thing.
