Graham,

That red-ear looks great, and the shell did turn out well, more more like the real thing now. The photos are super, very creative; I don't think I would have ever thought of that!

How's the background on the shadowbox you sent me the other night coming?

Outstanding Graham. Your photos really make the turtle jump off the screen. You have tied one heck of a fly! Like I said before...you need to produce a book, DVD, something before you retire to the country :D

Hi Ray, I'm glad you like the turtle, thank you. I took a series of out of focus full screen background shots today, took a number of different colors, and tonight I'll figure out which color best suits tha shadowbox background.

Hey Thom, thank you! I don't need to make a DVD, I'll just keep posting info here. Besides, I wouldnt have time until I retire to the country, and even then, I would realize, from attending fly shows, that the market for realistic tying info is extemely limited, when compared to other topics.

I still need to take a sharp un-cropped macro pic of my turtle before it goes into my display case.

Cheers,

Graham

That is one of the coolest realistics I've seen. May not be the most complicated or detailed but is really a cute little feller. :headbang: :headbang:

Graham

Thanks :)

I've only tied one realistic so far..a spider

It might be considered a fishable realistic, I'm not sure

One of the guys I sent one to caught an 18" brown trout on it :)

I'll find the pic and post it when I get time...

Right now I'm participating in the Classic Salmon Seminar.

Very impressive, your first Salmon fly body! Have you finished it yet?

Thanks again :)
