rich5665 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2010 Basser just take it slow and easy and let the body heal. It's good to see the boxes on the move. Box 3 is on my desk as I type this along with the flies from Trez. Dusted off the vise and started tying up my flies for the blue gill invite swap. I'll tie up a few extra for the Mystery box as well. If I could get an update on Boxes 1 and 2 that would be great.

rich5665 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2010 Thanks for the update basser Did a little Salmon fishing Saturday. 9 hours of fishing on the Salmon River in New York and all I catch catch is a brook trout. Nothing will wake you up in the morning though like a 35 Pound CoHo jumping out of the water right in front of your face. Box 1 should be on it's way to ColonelMel and Box 2 should have made it's way to bassbuggin back in August. I think that once this round is done, I'm going to consolidate everything down to one box for round six. Or may may just say the heck with it and send out box 3 with Trez's flies and a few of my own. Will 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2010 Not to be Critical Rich..But if you had a 35 pound Coho jumping in front of you you should have nailed him as he would have been a record!! Think you got mixed up a bit and wanted to say Chinook instead..I was up last week and hooked 25-30 and landed none!! Had Open Heart Surgery on June 21st and am not strong enough to even begin to turn them as of yet!!

If it wasn't already hooked and I had a bat, I would have hit it on the head Reports from the weekend have been that the fish are running very big this year. Mostly Kings and Coho. Yes there was a big run last week on Monday and Tuesday.. They are running huge this year and are a combo of Chinook and Coho Hybrid.. and have a very nasty attitude!! There are more fish in the Estuary right now then i have saw in a long time.. supposed to rain Thursday into Friday.. Then watch out..there will be a big run again soon!! Cool, Hopefully my next trip up I'll hook one of those brutes. If I read correctly the Coho's not native, where the Chinook is. Think a Hybrid will have an impact? BassBugn 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2010 It turns out that I have Box 2. I did not realize this until I clicked on Mystery Box Swap to what was happening just a little while ago. I apologize for the delay. I was out of town for a while and did not know any packages had arrived. I have not been able to tie anything, everything is packed away due to renovations since April. So I will send the box out tomorrow am. Good news, the homeowner will finish his projects in the next couple of weeks. Again my apologies Rich. Hope everyone is doing well. rich5665 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 No problem Steve. At least I now have an idea of where box 2 is.
rich5665 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 :headbang: Bassbugn - Box #2 has landed in central cal. I'll load her up and send it out. Rich - The boxes seemed to stay stagnant for awhile. Maybe it would be a good idea to see who is still in or needs to bow out for awhile? :dunno: Jim Agree. We need to find a solution
