Very clean hair-work- nicely done

I still struggle with the trimming a bit, They always wind up smaller than I intend lol. I have been hooked on hair lately, real fun stuff to work with.

Thanks binfordw :)

Hi everyone! I've been a low-participating member of this forum far too long. After receiving a nasty PM from Will ;) , I understood I'd better start sharing. Like I said, I've been visiting this place for a year and a half, and I've been impressed with the friendly atmosphere.

I have had great experiences with this fly design. Like many hair bugs, it's fun to tie, though in a slightly masochistic way. As I mention in the instructions, I prefer using cow elk or antelope for such flies. Steaming the pattern prior to final trimming also helps.

I do not treat the fly with any sort of floatant, since I want it to sit in the surface from the start. As it absorbs more water, it sits a bit deeper, but I find that more beneficial than not.

Thanks all! Glad you like it. Looks good in frog colors, too, not to mention all the other combos you can dream up. :D
