tompa 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Hi all Season in Norway is coming up in less than 70 days and it's time to load up on the workhorse patterns. Heres on of my most trusty catchers in clear river and sunny weather. The Greenlander. The pattern is originally by M.Frödin as a 2-in-1 fly combining Green Highlander and Silver & Grey. I sometime varie it a bit but here's the original recipe Tube: xs+M Fits Hook: Silver 3-11 Tag: Holo silver mini flatbraid Tail: Green Fluro fibre Body: rear 1/2 Saffron Yellow flatbraid front 1/2 Caddis Green Ice dub Rib: Silver Flatbraid Body hackle: Silver badger Front hackle: Silver badger Wing: Chartreause and Yellow Mirror flash, Yellow and Green hair with Chartreause Angel hair in between. Over that black hair topped with Rusty Olive Angelhair and Peacock herls Sides: JC Head: Green or Fluo green Conehead on tubes. Have fun tying and fishing it //Tompa

tompa 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Hello Shaq The cone on the middle fly is a two toned Turbo cone head from Guideline. The cones are developed by M. Frödin and is avilable on the market. Check with your local dealer he should be able to come by them. They create great motion in a hairwing and also if you use a long soft fronthackle such as Marabou, Rhea, Ringneck etc. In some angles in the current the tube also get a wiggly wobbly motion. SUPER!! Good luck //tompa
