Frank G. Swarner III 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 My dad made this T shaped holder for Krystal Flash and Flashabou and like materials. It's about 15" high, the base is 6" wide by however long you need it to be. We then tied a strand of maxima chameleon to the top of the flashabou and a loop on the other end. Slide it over the dowel and your done. For the Krystal Flash make some of the lengths of Maxima short and some long so you can fit more on the rack. Plus its easier to seperate the colors. My dad also made this rack for hanging material. Simple wood construction with dowel rods to hang things on. Most of the material is in ziploc bags. That way I can grab what I need for trips. Grab the bags you need and put them in a large plastic toolbox from home depot or wherever. The bags are hung on the dowel rods with paper clips bent to shape. A little cool add on vise tool organizer. More stuff hung peg boards. My drafting table / tying desk. Cleaned up. Sorry no beer bottles yet, but its about time to start. Sippy 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Very cool setups and ideas! Those are some great ideas to organize materials. Aren't those beer bottles in front of your pegboard pic?
GlobalFisher 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Wow that gave me some good ideas on how to organize some of my stuff and ideas on where to put some stuff. You and your dad are very creative. I liked the area that you have for all the materials hanging up. Thats cool. P.S. Those are beer bottles, or root beer in front of the peg board... Bamboo 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Those are great organization ideas but I think I'm hopeless. Every idea I see requires that after you use some material, you have to return it to it's designated space. I fail miserably with this concept. I think I need to hire some cleaning person that will take the time to learn where I expect things to be - then put the stuff there. My wife won't take the job. Just don't know if I'm curable.
