Chase Creek 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 like how you positioned it for the pix - looks like it was just run over. Great looking fly, I agree with the other guys - fish getter.
madkasel 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 'zounds! That's a nice one. Olive coloring plus rabbit fur plus webby hackling plus rubber legs = Lots O Fish! Looks like it'd be really good for carp, doesn't it?
deeky 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 Thanks for the comments. I am looking forward to fishing this one this summer. Although, I'm not sure about the panfish on this one - maybe a very hungry crappie. Even on a size 8 hook, tied per instructions from Murray himself, this fly is a good 2 1/2 inches long. Maybe it's because I'm used to fishing my little micro-clousers and small buggers. But it's also why I tied the other dragonfly nymph that I submitted - it's shortened up a little. Anywho, this should be a good fly for teh bass, large and small. Lots of action means lots of action. Deeky
