flyboyutah 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 First , I'd like to thank Troutbum7 for the inspiration :headbang: I could get my marabou to work right , so i decided to try buck tail. ( first two ) Then one day at work I was talking to a guy about Tiger Muskie fishing and what he used for lures and he said he likes to use a buck tail with a spinner . So I offfered to tie one up for him , and here it is . I added a hook in tube area. Hope you guys like , take any comments ,beatings, etc. steve

flyboyutah 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 After I tie the buck tail in good and secure. I'll shape the butts to a taper to the eye of the hook , hopefully the buck flares enough when you tie it in , to pre shape the head . Then I like to use some super glue to quickly fill the butts in so the thread doesn't fall in to the butts. Then I just keep shaping the head to final shape with the thread. Then when Im done I'll put one coat of Devon epoxy on to fill in thread , and before it sets to much I add the eyes. Do a final coat shortly after then let cure. steve hope that helps if not Ill try to take some photo
