Recommended Posts

How about adding classic dry flies(maybe even classic nymphs) in with the Classic Streamer and Wet Fly Tying Forum? :dunno:

I would also like to see a Classic Dry Fly section, but I also hear from a lot of new commers that read and puchase books and videos on the classic patterns from my area, ask how they can adapt the new materials that we now have available to some of the really old patterns. Im my area the Yallarhammer is a popular fly but the feather that they used to tie the pattern from are no longer legal to possess, it was origanally tied from the the primary flight feather of the Yellow Shafted Flicker, which is and endangered species of woodpecker.

This is just one instant that I will use to try and show in my opinion that we need to have both the classics with the original materials and methods used and also one showing the new materials available.

Thanks for letting me put in my pennies worth.

Jeff
