Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 I'm kinda proud of the girl, my sister sent me a letter saying that Caroline was one of the first people at the scene and took control, acted like a hero. I sent Caroline an email asking her what happened as her sister sent me a message, the day after it happened. I have been in suspense until yesterday. Caroline responded with an e mail saying what do you mean, what happened to me, nothing happened, I'm fine. She has applied a few times to join the volunteer fire department, but was denied, maybe she might get in there after this. I just found this story, http://www.thestar.com/article/207885

Isonychia 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Thanks, Daryn, for posting that. Kinda reaffirms one's faith in humanity, doesn't it? It's a shame they weren't able to save the poor guy, but Caroline and the others should be very proud of the attempt they made. John
xspook2158 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Its very refreshing to see people take action to help another regardless of the outcome. In this day and time some get so self involved, that they only think of themselves and say heck with the other guy. People are basically good, but in a society were we sue over a spilled cup of coffee, it can even make the good think twice before helping another. You have all the reason in the world to be proud of her, I wish more would follow the lead that her and the others showed. Jeff
