Hopper John 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2007 Gotta say thanks to Soft Hackle and Letumgo for the work they are doing with soft-hackle flies. I tied up a few and went after some bluegills. The flies work fine. They will be even better when I get used to using them. Even the smallmouths showed some interest in the larger ones. Caught two smallies on them. Here's a picture of a few I tied up. For sure, soft-hackle flies have a place in fly box. Can't wait to try them on trout. Later Hopper John

Chase Creek 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2007 Great job! Gotta love those soft hackles. I tied up a bunch of letumgo's POP fly pattern too, they have a permanent place in my soft hackle box now. (thanks letumgo) I've found soft hackles to be addictive - easy and fast to tie, and they catch fish. Check out softhackle's web site for lots of ideas and great patterns.
