Green River Trip

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

A friend and I are planning on going to Utah and spending 4-5 days fishing the Green River in Mid May. We usually camp out near Dutch John. If you like hard-fighting 18-24 inch Rainbows, Browns and Cutbows in crystal clear water we'd love to see you there!

It's in Utah about two and a half hours drive east of Salt Lake. A beautiful place to fish, but Dutch John isn't a place you'd go to party. cool.gif

You're right there TB. You don't go to Dutch John to party. However, after 8 hours of hard fishing we usually have just enough energy tosit by the fire just long enough to tie a few flies, finish a beer and a steak and tell a few stories. By day two you tie your flies(if you need more), drink a beer and go to bed. Day three: beer, bed. biggrin.gif

If you like getting out in the wild and catching a couple dozen beautiful, hard-fighting trout a day this is a great trip!

If anybody is going who is not a camper, I recommend the Flaming Gorge Inn. Not fancy but clean, dry and the waitresses in the restaurant are babes. cool.gif
