willowhead 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2007 Of course you "deserve" to do the fly......why in the world not? You did a fine job as well. Many tyers also sometimes use Kip ( Calf) tail for the tail. I like it with dark Moose. That fly was originally designed as a Salmon dry fly and tyed on a Salmon hook. I have one by Keith Fulsher tyed with 6 hackles. As a trout fly it is best to do it one a 1x or 2x long hook, and often a wet fly hooks is used.
