Steve P 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 Taz, a sow bug is like a rolly polly but it lives in the water, about a week ago while at Taney I gave the wife a little entomology lesson and took a couple picks too. Here is a good one of a sow bug. And with this you can see the difference between the sow in the first pic and these two scuds, also make a note of the box of flies with a pink "middle" to them I am assuming that he is replicating a scud with a baby sac it tends to be pinkish to rather orange, the color is not so great in the pick but you can see it if you look at the one towards the top of the cup. Hope that helps you out. Steve

njsimonson 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 Question: By the end of the sessions, how long did it take you to complete one fly?
duckydoty 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 I would guess 30 seconds a fly. Still have not tied any since then. The box is about 3/4's full still. duckydoty
