diamonddave7676 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 I am starting fly tying and there are two different vises I saw here at Bass Pro Shops. I was wondering which one was the better vise or if anyone has used either of these. Apex Fly tying vise http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...5004000_175-4-6 Peak vise http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...5004000_175-4-6 I am wanting to keep the price no more then $150. Anyone have any other recommendations?
Guest Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Both vises are very good tools, I doubt you could go wrong with either one.
Jray 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 I went with the Peak. Both are great works of machining. You'll get a better deal from Jstockard on the Peak than from BPS. I'm very happy with my choice.

Nick DelleDonne 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Vises are like tools; buy it once, buy it right. Regal Vises are excellent and made in USA. The easiest vist to use and holds the hook like no other vise. Check them out at Regal Fly Tying Vises Good Luck, Nick
