duckydoty 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2008 I'll get a picture or 2 up of the jig in the next couple of days. I posted a report over on talk fly fishing. We got into some nice fish duckydoty
Guest Report post Posted January 31, 2008 Has anyone tied this pattern with pine squirrel strips? I live in the west and that is what we use for trout and some bass slump busters. In order to get the bushy profile I tie the strip in backwards. That is, when I palmer the strip for the body the grain of the fur is going forward instead of backwards. Greg Not the exact Slump Buster pattern, but I was thinking of it when I made this. They work nicely! Hen neck collar, leech yarn belly, pine squirrel everywhere else. winefly 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 I make this fly entirely out of pine squirrel. I will try to post a picture of one this week or next. They seem to really "breath" in the water. Greg
