Guest Report post Posted September 26, 2003 UGH, I got the book, Pop Fleyes, from the library and tried to tie some siliclones to imitate big chub minnows in the river here. They look good, but I was intreigued by the poplips. I tied up 3 of them and only one runs worth anything. I keep trimming the lips but they still spin. Someone said use thinner silicone and heavier hooks as a keel. Is there anything i can do more? It seemed that on some of them, the wool/synthetic that I tied on last for the lip was smooth, while on another it was all cockeyed when I pulled it down. That is the one that spins the worst. I guess I need to be more careful when I tie it in so it will lay flatter/smoother. thanks guys Dan
