Jens Lund Adamsen 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 I have it Hi Rafal Billy Butt is an Atlantic salmon fly pattern. To my knowledge it originated on the Kola peninsula in Russia at the river Umba. I might be mistaken but the first time I heard of this pattern was at the river ponoi where my guide told me to put it on if I had one as it was a favourite of his and this guy used to guide on the Umba. I can tell you that the hook is a "LOOP Black Nickel double salmon hook". Hope that helps Jens

Unfortunately now Umba is almost empty the same like a lot of rivers where you can go by car. PS. this hooks I do not like .me friend lost a lot of fish on them Salars looks better.
