twohearted 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 radical fly :headbang: but i have to know whats with the name It refers to spiced rabbit stew (I believe German). Since the fly is almost entirely rabbit, and the pike that eats this little guy will be eating rabbit, heck why not name it after some kind of rabbit dish? I though it was being clever, but I often think I am being funny and others think of me as strange. RB

RB There's also a Bugs Bunny cartoon where the King demands his "Hassenpfeffer" from the chef, who, if I recall correctly, happens to be Bugs himself.... Yes, it is german, and I believe (though it's been over 15 years since I took German in school) that it means peppered rabbit.

Somehow I knew this wouldn't fly under your radar Matt. I do remember that Bugs episode though. Nice reference Cory, I never thought of that. Either way, I am fired up for fishing warmwater this summer. I am going to try seam sealer on the two strips and see how that works. RB
