sage8wt 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Beautiful fly!!! Nicely done! Just curious. What is this EZ bug yarn??? never heard of it before. Mike It is a durable heavy yarn that is quite 'shaggy' in nature. Typically fibers will extend 1/8" - 1/4" from the core yarn. I'm finding a number of different uses for the yarn - heads on patterns like these (fantastic pattern by the way) or for tying rag hex nymphs. It will take permanant marker without bleeding as well. you can double or triple it up and twist it together to use as bodies on bait fish as well. Great stuff! Mike I believe that hareline makes the original stuff, however I purchased something comparable made by Spirit River at the local Orvis shop.
