Hey, just made my first order from Stone River Outfitters. Any of u guys order from them? Did not think their prices were bad, was just wondering how any of u guys liked em.

I order from them from time to time. I use J Stockard first and them second.

Not sure where all of you guys are from, but I live around the corner from Stone River, they are my local shop. I can't say enough good things about them. Their fly tying section is second to none. I hope you all have good experiences, I'm often in there when they are filling web and phone orders.... I always wondered where they ended up

Stone River was at the Detroit expo last year. Those folks have everything. If they don't have it you don't need it. I sure hope they come to Detroit next month I have a list a mile long. In my opinion they are right up there with J. Stockard fly fishing. :hyst: :hyst: :yahoo:

Live in NE WI....and they have treated me extremely well, got the rest of my quills & biots today.

:headbang: If i remember correctly, they bought out Bill Hunter's Fly Shop. They are outstanding. They will go out of tgheir way to ensure you get the best quality materials! I have never had a bad experience with them since they took over Bill Hunter's shop; and I bought from Hunter's for many, many years. Even took a class or two from guys like Veverka and Talleur!
