Fly Tying

Recommended Posts

Can anyone suggest a decent Wax Worm pattern? I looked around on line for a little while and couldn't find anything. I'm thinking that it can't be that hard of a tie.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just use Micro/Ultra chenille in cream and wrap around the hook. Use a marker or thread to make a dark head. I made some for ice fishing years ago but forgot to put some lead in them to take them down so now they just tumble the bottom or our rivers in the winter for steelhead.

Thanks for the suggestions. That Latex wiggler looks perfect, I'll have to try tying some each way and see which come out better. Or should I say, which ones I screw up less...

I also use the cream ultra chenille. Tie it in with brown thread, wrap back to the bend, wrap back to the head, tie off. The brwon thread makes a perfect head. My buddies love em for steelhead.
