Guest Report post Posted March 20, 2008 You can use these fibers in place of bucktail in Clousers, Thunder creek patterns, etc. as backs and tails on flies in a pattern like a Gill Getter (calls for moose mane). The action will be somewhat different, but the flies will still catch fish. Essentially it can be used in place of any non-flaring hair. ubbrd 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2008 They are great for saltwater streamer type patterns. I've been using these synthetic fibres for a while now.
bowfin47 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2008 Tony Spezio's been tying epoxy minnow streamers with synthetic dusters for at least 15 years... probably more.
