The body of the last one was formed with a dubbing loop with loose dubbing, and then I brushed the heck out of it with a velcro tool after the fly was finished. This keeps the fibers of the fly loose and creates a bit of a halo around the fly. Once the fly gets wet, the color of the rusty orange thread and the gold rib show through a bit more.
