jeepclown 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2008 Awesome! This is my first swap experience and I have learned quite a bit. From mailing container selection, to mailing and toe tagging procedures to how much do you tip your "swapmeister" (I sent one extra, should have sent a few extras it seems). The flies received were excellent and I was amazed at how many different ways and colors an elk haired caddis can be tied in. Looking forward to more swaps. juice 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2008 Right on, JC. The SwapMasters don't expect to get compensation. If you feel like sending something, (a couple extras flys or special material) It will be received with gratitude. Hope to see you in more swaps. Hows to fishing in Salida? Lot of runoff still? The river is flooded, your more likely to catch a floating tree than a trout. But that hasn't seemed to stop me yet! :wallbash:
professori 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2008 Majestya-The flies came in today, and like all the others, I am very happy and impressed by the selection. Here in BC the weather is still in march mode it seems, but as soon as the weather warms up, there are going to be some elk hairs enticing rainbows in my favorite streams!! Thanks all for participating and thank you Jeff for hosting such a great swap.
skyfireblaze 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 Thanks everyone, especially our SM! I've been out of town for the past week and a half. It was great to see the flies waiting for me when I got back home this morning. Looking forward to catching a few fish with them ...

skyfireblaze 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 Glad to hear they worked well for you. I had a lot of fun tying them up. In fact, I've got to tie up a few more for myself so I can use them this coming weekend ...
pickin6ofem 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 I second that Majesty. But I fished a lot of the flies with good luck. Flygirl I took a nice brown Trout on your addition to the swap. Justin
flygirl 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2008 :yahoo: Glad to hear it !! seems that I use the X-Caddis more than a regular Elk Hair.
