Herman 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 As participant of the step-by-step swap we have to place our tying pattern in this subforum. The swap can be found here: Step by step swap I made a Czech Nymph the Dutch style. (that's why my english is this bad :dunno: ) I used the following materials: Hook: Mustad 80250 #6 (same as TMC 2487 or Partridge CZ #8) Tyingthread: Danvilles 6/0 beige Ribbing: Copperwire and Nylon 0.15 Leadwire .025 Flexibody Danica dubbing and Spectra dubbing Olive Place the hook in the vice an set up the tying thread. Then wind on the leadwire. Ty in the copper wire, the nylon and a small strip of Flexibody. Dub in three kinds. The middle part is the attractor part! Rib with the copperwire Pull over the Felxibody ty in and trim the waste Rib with the nylon an trim the waste make a kind of head an then finish your fly. Usually I use different kind of tying thread to make the head of the fly. For different weights I use different collors. Happy fishing! Herman

Herman 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2008 Looks cool. 3 questions. What color thread? Tyingthread: Danvilles 6/0 beige What is flex body? It's a kind of plastic you can use to make the back. What do you fish for with it? Fishing for trout, grayling etc. Thanks, Airedale
