The Grande Estaz Cone Head

Recommended Posts

I use a similar pattern very successfully to target bigger Browns. I add an orange conehead, and a hackled thorax, and it gets their attention every time !

Good work !!

Excellent looking streamer! It reminds me a lot of a Lake Erie steelhead pattern called a "Bunny Spey" (without the mallard flank collar). I think this would also look awesome with purple, blue or olive estaz. Thanks for sharing. ;)

I've caught nice smallies off of a pattern like that. I picked it up in a swap from the board as a matter of fact.

Thanks for the kind words guys!! I'm currently working on a revamp of the Double bunny...one that will have a lot more action and a little trailor trash. I'm focusing all my attention on adding movement to a couple of old streamer patterns...I think I've come up with something that should interest you all and hope to post back in another day or two!

Till then!

That's my bro in law with the biggest of the night at 24", Doug Moore's at 22", and finally my ol gal at 23"! All caught within an hour of eachother! It was sick! All caught on that fly! Purty sweet!

That pattern is also killer for spring Steelhead on the Great Lakes. The Red collar pisses off the males prretty good.
