Blue Rats & Haugurs

Recommended Posts

Some more patterns from `Laxaflugur`. i`d say these patterns would have their uses most places, even here in Oz. The size range is from #6-12 . I don`t have Grey Fox (only reds out here) so I`ve used Badger for the wings on the Rats Which is a bit light but I think it works, has a nice sheen to it and grey dyed Polar Bear on one. Pony hair on the Haugurs

My name is Sigurdur Hedinn and I'm the designer (inventor) of Haugur. I was very surprised when I saw this link and the picture of my fly.

Haugur means pile and is also the name of the vikings gravyard.

I desiged this fly in 2000 and this fly has caugt all kinds of fish.

:D Hi bobfly

Some nice small blue rats there. I never use such small patterns on hook my self, prefer microtubes, but these are real nice. Should be able to get you a grilse or two.

Hectic days now going from one salmon river to another with some family time in between, I will try to come up with a report later on.

Until then.......

Tight lines everybody... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
