Hexagenia Atrocaudata

Found a small hatch coming off the Neshannock Creek in Western PA at dusk this August. Anyone have any picks of this Hex in the nymphal stage or emerging?

Found a few of these guys last night...........they actually hurt as they were flying into me........I am sure they were trying to kill me.......took some searching to figure out what bug it was........never seen one before.........it was awesome.......

so, do I call this a Hex or Big Slate Drake???


This thread eased my mind as to what the heck it was........this was from a stream in Southeastern PA
