wernstriumph 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2008 I was reading "The Compleat Angler" by Izaak Walton the other day and I came across something that made me think. Walton gives a brief description of twelve flies to use throughout the year (some which I recognize and some I do not). He tells his friend, " And so you have a jury of flies to condemn all of the trout in the river." What would your "Jury of Flies" consist of? Mine would be: ( in no particular order) 1) Adams 2) Blue Wing Olive 3) Mickey Finn 4) Black Ghost- tied in black & orange instead of black & yellow 5) Copper John 6) Olive Hare's Ear 7) Royal Coachman 8) San Juan Worm 9) Black Ant 10) Mosquito 11) Wooly Bugger 12) Elk Hair Caddis - brown I tell you it was tough to just pick

deflyguy 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 I fish the Mid-Atlantic salt fairly frequently and to have a good time - all you need is a six pack :headbang: 1. EP or Bucktail Clousers 2. Sand Eel 3. Top Popper (pencil) 4. EP & Latex squid 5. Bunker or Herring 6. Cereal or Hot-Glue shrimp you could probably throw in a bloodworm pattern for Croakers
