blakejd 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2009 I've been playing around with CDC recently and since its so expensive I try to make the most of it. I noticed when I trim it off after making a dun the tips look like the pic posted below so I thought they might make some nice neat wings for a micro caddis. What do ya think? Just developing the idea so any suggestions are more than welcome. Its a #20 dry hook with 3 CDC feathers for the wing.

Firetiger 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 These may look like crap, but to the fish, they look good enough to eat. Never underestimate the appeal of crap to a hungry trout! They have very strange tastes. I still remember how I invited a big fat rainbow as guest of honor to dinner and found his belly packed full of cigar butts.
