It is kind of hard to explain...Sorin striped the fibers off the feather ( still attached by a thin strand of rachis) and folded two of them into wings. I however, stripped all the fibers off one side of the feather, looped it (part stem and part fibers) and tied them on that way. I think the 'lacy' look is from the part-stem-part-fiber wings. I think...
