c.taylor 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2009 ...do them flies ever get a short bite?.... Thanks Rocky! When I fish these patterns I am targeting stripers. For the most part, they will go for the head first...I do find if they do short strike they, or their buddy, will come around for another shot. Bluefish on the other hand will nip at the tail, then it comes back a little sparser than it left...If the blues are around I put these boys away. c.taylor 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2009 ....it sounds like a blast... I grew up fishing freshwater trout, LM and SM bass, pike, musky, pickerel, salmon, etc...I never gave saltwater fishing that much thought till about 5 years ago I started on a whim...now I almost exclusively fish saltwater...the challenges it offers in angling combined with the toughness and fierocity of many of the species is such a thrill for me...I haven't been the same since

Floyd 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2009 I was fooling around today and was trying a different approach to the traditional Adams fly. This one has a foam extended body and the hackle is tied off behind the wings instead of at the eye of the hook.
