Whats your other job?

I use to have a really great job as a Automotive Clay Modeler. Now I am an unemployed slouch. But I do run my own interenet business, which is great and a lot of fun.

I've spent the last 31 years as a range management specialist with the Bureau of Land Management in Idaho, Utah and finally Nevada.

As of Dec 31 I'll be retired and full time grandpa & fishing bum.

Environmental negotiations.

Have been given money by folks at conclaves to whom I offered a fly for free and who insisted on paying for it. Which is very interesting, if you think about it. I am willing to tie and give away and they feel guilty about taking it for free so they give me money to relieve their guilt. Of course, most of the tyers I know, if given a fly by a fellow tyer, are going to return the favor -- which is sort of but not exactly the same thing.

Environmental negotiations?...looking at your avatar, I bet you drive a hard bargain.

I'm a fisheries biologist but have put my career on temporary hold to be a full time stay at home Dad of 2.

Good for you...and good luck! I have 4 kids, and my wife is a stay at home mom and it's not as easy as the Brady's made it look! My neighbor is a full time stay at home dad of 5.

I'm a structural steel detailer (draftsman). Draw the structural frameworks for commercial bldgs (factories, schools, potato chip factories, etc) so they can be fabricated and then put together at the site. About 40 years now. (oh, my God! That long?)

I'm a pastor, more specifically a youth pastor. I work with kids and teens between grade 6 and grade 12. Most of the time it's a pretty great job. These pictures are what I would call "a tough day at the office". I'm the one getting wet. I feel pretty lucky to be paid to do what I do. I've also sold some of my flies on eBay.

Im in sales for a car wash equipment distributor. I cover west Michigan (that doesn't suck!) So I get to drive over the best smallmouth and steelhead water on the planet every day. For now anyway. Soon this state will hit 15% unemployment and many things will come to an end. Including most of my customers. Oh how I love Jennifer Granholm! <_<

I'm considered a video professional  My job title says I'm a producer/director, but that's just a catch phrase for "do everything." Currently, I'm developing some programming ideas centering around...what else? fly fishing & tying.

Later...

I use to be a foreman of a welding/fabrication shop where we built all sorts of lifting devices for construction compaines and the big three. But about 3 years ago I took a chance to do what I have always wanted to do and started up my own business in the fly fishing industry. So now for the past 3 years I'm a full time custom fly rod builder http://www.midwestcustomflyrods.com/

Its something I always wanted to do and luckily it worked out pretty nicely for me. Love being my own boss and being able to have my "work" being fly fishing related. When you love your work it never seems like a "job" :headbang:
