Whats your other job?

Recommended Posts

I am a full time Flyfishing Instructor, Author, and Speaker. I was a ticketed millwright/Welder for 15 years, but got hurt 6 years back and started my own company teaching people how to flyfish. I have since written 2 books on flyfishing (The third is on the way) many articles for flyfishing magazines, and have been speaking and doing seminars at local flyfishing trade shows and other events.

Holy Crap, do I EVER LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!

Rick

Wow

What a diverse group. With this crowd we could redesign, rebuild , reorder the world

Between all of us we should be able to design a fly that not only will catch fish but will clean and cook them also.

Then I can get rid of my wife and tye for Me . lol

For the last two seasons I managed a Boundary Waters Wilderness Outfitter. Even though I sold a few flies now and then, by simply giving clients the flies they needed I found they appreciated our services much more, and tipped MUCH better. Since then I decided to find work more closely related to my degree field, so Product/Process Engineer in the aviation market.

I'm an attorney with my own small practice in the beautiful town of East Hampton, NY.....minutes from some of the most beautiful bay and ocean bays around. New to fly tying, for now making a variety of teasers for my surfcasting ways (with rod & reel).

I teach 8th grade science and social studies, in a very nice school district! I get to spend about three months a year in Durango CO, as a fly-fishing guide, it's really a perfect balance.
