DHise 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 Well, I finally had a chance to get out on the water after 31 days in a row running the fly shop (for the holidays). I wont bore you with the details but the conditions were excellent (high, milky water and mid 40 degree water temps) and the fishing was great. I have been chasing this 'bow for over a year and a half in a river in southwestern Virginia and I finally got IT to go. Pink eggi juan kenobi did it again and was the fly of the day. http://www.castersflyshop.com/Casters/phot...es/local100.jpg

I wish my day was as productive, I had a heck of a tail wind which gave me some great wind knots.

DHise 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2008 The 15 lb. boga was over its limit. I weighed IT in the net. The net is 2 lbs.. I'd guess 14-15lbs.. Remember, I can palm a basketball with ease. Look at the distance between the belly fins and the dorsal fins. Nice fish how much he way? :headbang:

DavidR 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 If I thought working for 31 days straight would help me catch a fish like that I'd do it ....but I think I have more chance if I fish for 31 days straight. Great fish - the 18 months stalking it makes it even better.
