Just sharing

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I just wanted to share some material That I use on some caddis flys. Burlap bags from IFA.

I picked one up the other day for 1.90 enough to tye 10,000 flys. But it has a real good bug look to them after you wrap one strand on the hook.

And alot of it is what can you come up with wrap some copper wire on after or some mono fishing line. But I'll just post a few pictures just to give you the Idea.

It is great material. There is, in fact, a classic western steelhead pattern named the Burlap. Still fairly popular today. The material really goes to work once it's waterlogged.

Jute is a good thing. You can buy a softball size roll of it at any hardware store for 1.99. It can be used on smaller flies if you dub it (spin) on the thread.
