Fall Colors

Recommended Posts

A bit untimely but considering we will be shoveling snow tomorrow these would be a welcome site.

Timely or not, some nice bright colors are always welcome at this time of the year. It'll be pretty drab around here until it greens up in May. We don't get much snow here - just lots of gloomy gray and brown. BTW Dog, you mentioned you were from a harness racing family. When we lived in NY, there were a lot of standardbred farms in the area.

That sulky pic was shot at a training facility right down the road. I always meant to get back there and do some serious shooting, but I guess time slipped away and we wound up moving. I used to get a kick out of watching the foals prance around the fields in the spring. This year's crop should be out there soon.

Thanks for the comments :)

Peter I used to look after horses and race, but stopped driving when I went to college in '86. I still hang around a bit and go to the races, my daughters really like the spectator side of the sport. Both of my brothers still race, the shot below was a windy -16C last month.

Hi Hounddog

Love the seed photo. It was my fav. I do like the horse pic as well. Lived around horses all my life and always a soft spot for me in what ever form they are shot. Keep em coming!
