where to find lead foil?

Recommended Posts

The previous comment of making friends with your Dentist is certainly a good one. Years ago I was able to get a lifetime supply of lead foil from my Dentist just by asking him. The lead foil is a thin sheet that is inside of the cardboard squares that are used when the Dentist takes xrays of your teeth. These are discarded afterwards, but I would think that Dentists recycle the waste properly.

My dentist gave me enough to fill a 5 gallon pail, so if you would like some, please email me and I will try to send you some to try out............not certain though if I could mail the stuff across the border w/o problems. :dunno:

These are paper thin and easy to work with, just trim to size with scissors.
