CoachBob 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2009 1 minute ant. Here's the preparation work. Go to harborfreight.com or a harbor freight store. Buy a set of hollow punches (9 piece set for $5) Get some closed cell foam (best place online is softtiles.com) often called flip flop foam Punch out some small cylinders Get some small stiff hackle ready. How to: Put a thread base on the hook Tie down the foam cylinder to the hook Wrap the hackle in the indentation made by tying down the foam. I would have never thought of that! thanks saltydog! guess I am gonna have to save some "brass" from Stress Relief...i mean Prairie dog huntin....hmmmm..wonder if PD fur is usefull to any flies?
