Sorry they are a bit blurry. No problem, I have seen worse photos than yours I like the post, I often have problem detecting strikes to semi-sunk emerger flies... I tie a similar pattern for the upcoming Hex hatch in a Florida lake I go to, and it is killer on the big Bluegills when they won't look at anything other than a mayfly. I will offer an observation- for what it's worth- I tie mostly size 10 and 8 (these are big mayflies) and I use packing foam for the emergent part. I found that if I make a LOOP of foam it can cause serious leader twist. I've gone to using thicker foam and making less of a loop and more of a bubble.
