Nice tie John

I look forward to seeing it first hand :D

This is shaping up to be a great swap. I am really enjoying the great level of involvement from everyone so far.

And the feeling's mutual. And the idea of razor foam for the wingcase is brilliant. Can't wait to put one of those bugs of yours in the water ;-)

rich5665 I have decided on the little green one, if you can see um. trying..trying....trying...

What is really strange is doing a few of these and then switching up to a streamer. I found it to hard to switch the other way. After the streamer the little green seemed to be smaller than before.

Anyways... I'm doing the green. :headbang:

My local fly shop didn't have the hooks I needed so I ordered them online today. Hopefully they come by end of the week.

ibian what sizes of hooks are ya looking for?

I ordered the Daiichi 1120 Sz 16 - I'll probably use this one but I also got the Daiichi 1130 Sz 18. I'll decide which works better. I have a size 26 ordered but :hyst: who am I kiddin other than myself on that one. I got a bunch more for the hopper swap and some Daiichi 2370 sz 8 7X long. <--- excited about that one.

Cool, looks like everyone is on track. I'm just waiting for some materials and my hooks to arrive. Tried tying a test fly the other night and wound up putting the hook through my thumb. DOH!! :wallbash: Thank goodness it was barbless. Definetly need stronger glasses 1.5x Magnification isn't cutting it anymore, time to move upto 2.5x. Getting old can be a pain :wheelchair: :hyst:

I received a call from my son, my supplies have arrived. Now to start tying up some bead tails and sticking a few more hooks through my poor thumb

7 and still magging :help: . Alas, I will succeed.

Got the tails done for the the flies last night and tied up three, never realized Polar Dubbing was going to be so challenging to work with  My first attempt was with a dubbing hook, I quickly realized that I was putting to much dubbing on. I think I finally figured it out. I'll post a pick of one of the finished flies tonight.
