Futzer 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 OH J74Snook, Really? I just have to invite you to think about releasing, very carefully and with honor and dignity all cutthroat trout. That said, I have no issue with anyone eating fish, but see too much and too often that it is taken for granted. I can tell from your many posts that you truly respect the game and fish you catch. For me though we emphasize the trophy too much, we need to not kill the biggest, but avoid it or in a fishes case release the best. Farmers learned long ago that the biggest vegetable makes the best seeds, and I feel the same with all fish. We need to play part in proper management of our fishes, if the cutthroat over populates, then I would look differently, but for now they are my best respected and struggling trout.
