Taylor B. Hess 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2009 I'd say, Bass Pro, and Cabela's. #1. they are both very well known. #2. they have very kind and experienced staff. #3. they have a good variety of materials, flies, and gear. I still honestly like the family owned fly shops. Like TCO Fly Shop in Carlise and State College, Pennsylvania. The small shops is where friends are made and stories can be told over and over again. Keen knowledge about the areas fishing is also gained on a broader perspective at the smaller shops. But, I wouldn't doubt Bass Pro or Cabela's in the long run.
