A classic winter steelhead fly dating to 1973. Playing with a new photo box in the recent pics. This fly is meant to be tied on a heavy hook, hence the 7970, and dead drifted over the steelhead holding.

Hi Old Hat, Excellent tie, perfect colors, great driftwood and photo. Proper sized fly head. I hear good things from the fall run this year. Any stories?

Cheers, Jeff.

Again a beautifull fly.

You'll have to show us that photo box of yours. Like many said, the driftwood gives a nice touch the photo.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks everyone for the support. :D

Jeff - there have been record runs this year past the dams and the fish are in early. It's been in the 80's until just last night. It snowed and is only 36 degrees this morning.

Vern-O - yeah took me a lot of digging in my "stuff" to find the hackle that I needed and wanted.

Denis - I purchased something similiar to this but found it for under $20 (cost and shipping). soft light photo tent

Carl
