lewy271 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2009 Guys I know there has been alot of nice minnow imitations that have been posted of spun craftfur, wool, congo hair whatever. I've done them myself for sometime too. This is what I do when trimming goes wrong, which generally happens towards the tail. I make it a crippled minnow. Flyfish Dog 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2009 Ouch!! How did you do that? That looks like it would of been a nice tye though. When I am completed building a fly then this when I really slow down and trim it carefully. I use a long spring loaded Fiskars sissors to do my trimmings. lewy271 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2009 Just for clarity, I jacked up the trimming a little bit so I just chunked the fly totally.

lewy271 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 Lewy, did you get the gelcoat on your boat repaired? No not yet, I bought a kit to do it myself but I think I'm just going to bring it in to have it fixed. Why you have a similar issue?

I just recalled the discussion we have back in the summer about the damage to your new boat...was just curious how it worked out.

Gotcha...I've been super busy with work which makes me super lazy with "tasks", this qualified as a "task". I am going to get it straightened out this winter, so I can throw another scratch on it this summer!
