crawfly 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Good looking flies! I've used that "hair" before. It was old material but came in very handy for some shark flies. Cuttyhunter 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 Thanks guys. The material of the body is called Big Fly Fiber. You still can get it. I think Harline and Wapsi both carry it. I think J Stockard has it also. I also use EP Fibers for big flies like this. The international fibers are great because they have 12 inch hanks. Also yak hair works great in these bigger flies. The ones in the picture are 13.5 inches long. In the last few months a synthetic version of yak hair in 20 inch hanks have become out. Cheers, Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
