flytyinfreak 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 "Instantly famous" to quote the banner ad.....I'm going to work on an article called FlyFishing,The Internet and the Rise of the Instant Expert and publish it under the pseudonym Isaac Waltin So what are you sayin? Kinda sounds derogatory to me! Am I the"instant expert" you are referring to? Would you care to clarify what you mean, maybe reword your statement? Sounds to me like You've got some issues buddy. You don't know me from Adam yet you infer that I gain legitimacy by simply getting a story published on the internet. You have no idea. Maybe my next peice will be "How to use hot Tuna's bull crap to make stink bait for trash fish"

David Legg 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Wow... totally engrossing read. I felt like I was there! Thanks for writing that! P.S.... next time don't write that my nose is cold and wet! How about writing that I am casting from the sandy beach of small key, on the perfect day with a light breeze to keep me comfortable. But I liked it anyway! So there I was with a carona and a cigar in one hand and a 100 pound tarpon well into my backing on the other. The sun was hot that day my friend. How Hot? Hotter than an old man trying to return soup at a deli! OH! wait , that's a line from Seinfeld!

Hot Tuna 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Flytyingfreak...I have issues but not with you. I have no idea of your level of experience and I haven't read nor will I read your article. We have had issues in the Northeast with individuals publishing pieces with little or no experience so that's my issue and it's not with you. Sorry I raised your hackles. I could have picked a better place to raise the topic. HT
rstout 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Ross, I read the article. Very nice. What you describe is exactly what every winter steelhead fisherman goes through. Cold brutal hours spent on the water, numb fingers, bad food, aching back, for what? The chance to hook into a steelie. It makes it all worth while. Going tomorrow morning. Wish you could be there. Again, very nice. Everyone should read it. Rob
